What gets turned away
Fink Road Landfill refuses these, so sort them out before you load the truck:
- Liquids, paint, oil and closed containers. Take paint and chemicals to the county hazardous waste facility instead.
- Batteries and fluorescent bulbs.
- Car bodies and other hazardous materials.
In San Joaquin County, household hazardous waste goes to the county facility at 7850 S. R.A. Bridgeford St, Stockton, open Thursday to Sunday, 9 to 3.
When it's easier to call a hauler
Self-hauling is the cheapest option if you have a truck and a free morning. When it's more than one load, it's upstairs, or you don't want to make the drive, Jake and his crew carry it out and haul it away, priced by the cubic yard. Text a photo for a price.
