Junk removal in Ceres
Ceres has one garbage company for the whole city, with a few seasonal extras. Here's what it already covers, where it stops, and where to take a load yourself.
Covers ZIP 95307: Ceres.
What your Ceres garbage service already covers
Bertolotti Disposal holds the exclusive garbage franchise in Ceres.
- Two bulky item pickups a year. The city lists (209) 537-1500 to book; Bertolotti's own page lists (209) 537-8000.
- Curbside leaf and limb pickup every other week from October 1 to January 9. Limbs up to 4 ft long and 6 in across; no palm or grass clippings.
- An annual drop-off day for e-waste, mattresses and tires, for Ceres garbage customers with a bill and ID. Free compost and mulch at River Bluff Regional Park.
Where it runs out
Outside those programs, Ceres residents are on their own.
- Bulky pickups exclude electronics, glass, mirrors, basketball hoops, construction debris, tires and stumps.
- Refrigerators have to be emptied, with the doors removed, before pickup.
- Outside leaf-and-limb season, yard waste that doesn't fit the cart means renting a bin.
Hauling it yourself? Here's where it goes
Ceres has a transfer station on its doorstep:

When it makes sense to call Jake
When it's construction debris, a basketball hoop, electronics or yard waste out of season, or when you'd rather not empty and take apart a fridge. Jake and his crew carry it out and load it, priced by the cubic yard and usually within the week. Anything that still works gets donated.
When calling Jake is the wrong call
If it's mattresses or e-waste and the annual drop-off day is coming up, wait for it. If it's leaves and limbs between October and early January, put them out for curbside pickup.
