Hot tub removal in Oakdale and the 209
Old hot tubs and spas are heavy, awkward and hard to get rid of. Jake takes them out, breaks them down and hauls them away.
Serving Oakdale, Riverbank, Waterford, Hughson, Hickman, Modesto, Ceres, Salida, Empire, Turlock, Escalon and Farmington.
What Jake removes
Most spas won't fit through a side gate in one piece, which is why so many sit unused for years.
- Hot tubs and spas.
- Pool and spa equipment.
- Old covers, steps and other patio junk in the same trip.
Before Jake arrives
Three things make removal faster:
- Drain it. Fink Road Landfill doesn't accept liquids, so a spa has to be empty.
- If it's hardwired, have an electrician shut off and disconnect the power.
- Clear a path from the tub to the driveway or street.
Why it can't just go to the curb
A hot tub doesn't fit any free pickup program in the area:
Bulky pickup size limits
Stanislaus County's bulky program for unincorporated areas caps items at 6 x 6 x 6 ft and won't take wood. Most spas are bigger than that, and city programs are built for furniture, not spas.
Self-hauling
Gilton and Bertolotti take loads by weight, but you'd need to cut the tub apart and get it there on a truck or trailer.
When it makes sense to call Jake
When you don't have a trailer, tools and a free weekend. A hot tub is exactly the kind of job Jake's crew is for, priced by the cubic yard and usually within the week.
When calling Jake is the wrong call
If it still runs, someone may take it for free. Try listing it before paying to have it removed.
